My suggestion is that you all create the single team threads at least once a month. The hottest topics have been ongoing for over three months. In many of them, the subject changes every few pages. That is not standard forum etiquette.
Bumping old threads, changing the original titles and subject matter does not create something new. It also does not register to search engines as something new. Each new post is syndicated to feed readers which ping search engines, making the information findable.
I prefer pre and post event threads. I'm not a fan of anticipation threads that continue after an event has started (or ended).
I will still be closing threads if they reach 30 pages.
I will also begin closing Resurfaced threads and threads older than 6 months.
