The Jaguar Nation has been recognized as one of the top College Basketball Fan Bases in the country, winning the Naismith Student Section of the Year Sweet 16 in 2013 and nearing the top 16 in the 6th Fan voting. To show appreciation, SU athletics has dubbed Monday’s game as "Blue Monday."

Southern will host Mississippi Valley State Monday, Feb. 17 in the F.G. Clark Activity Center and game tickets will be offered at $5 discount--with $5 general admission and $10 gold reserved seats.

Blue Monday’s men's basketball game will air live on ESPNU and is slated for an 8:05 p.m. tipoff. The women's basketball tipoff time has changed to 5 p.m. to accommodate the ESPN national broadcast.

To show that the Jaguarss have the best fans in the country, the Jaguar Nation is encouraged to pack out the arena and wear Columbia blue.

The first 500 fans to vote for SU in the 6th Fan contest at the event will receive a blue SU T-shirt. Fans can vote during the game on the concourse level inside the FG Clark Activity center near the Harding boulevard entrance.

To celebrate Southern University’s first football SWAC championship since 2003, Head Football Coach Dawson Odums and the 2013 SWAC football champions will be recognized during halftime of the men's game.

All members of a Divine Nine Greek Organizations are welcomed to stroll around Avery Johnson Court during halftime of the women's basketball game in celebration of Greek Night.
