So.....we sat down most of our homecoming, because we face a fine.....this is getting out of hand. If they gonna win...they gonna win...if they gonna lose...they gonna lose. PEOPLE DIDN'T REALLY CARE ABOUT THE FOOTBALL GAME NO WAY.....HELL THE CHEERLEADERS GOT MORE ATTENTION THAN THEM TIL THEY STARTED SCREWING UP AND VALLEY GOT CLOSE AGAIN. Why are they doing this to our bands? Really...

OFFICIALS WERE WEAK FROM THE START LIKE 1ST QT. TUBA CALL-OUTS R GOING N THEY ASK BOTH BANDS TO STOP PLAYING AND SIT DOWN LIKE SERIOUSLY.......ONLY FANFARES FROM THE TUBAS WERE GOING NEITHER VALLEY OR GRAM TUBAS WERE PUSHING OUT.. THE GAME HAD JUST STARTED.. THEY WERE JUST BEING ASSHOLES FROM THE JUMP....
Hate to say it but....when it comes to Grambling....somehow....we are the only band in the SWAC that the word "fine" follows......Our directors don't risk fines, and that is a respectable thing. BUT VALLEY NEVER REALLY STOPPED PLAYING. Still this ref says nothing to them....now I'm glad they are sounding better and all, BUT in my house, I don't like being violated, and that is what the refs did to our band.

Id be worried to even suggest that to the officials of the SWAC.. cause then there won't be ANY games where we can play.
Our homecoming game was today as well and the Alumni band we had playing most of the 3rd and they were never told to stop and the current Ocean just followed the rules but wasn't told to stop playing although it was soft during a lengthy time where the offense was making a drive.

Well, GSU HOMECOMING WAS NICE AS FAR AS THE PARADE, DIDNT SEE VALLEY NOR GSU SHOW I WAS TRYING TO GET OUT OF SUN LOL. BOTH BANDS SOUNDED GOOD FROM WHAT I AND MY BAND STUDENTS FROM PINE BLUFF HIGH HEARD. AS FAR AS THE HIGHSCHOOL SHOWCASE, THEY RECEIVED MANY GREAT COMPLIMENTS FROM THE FANS, AND GSU BAND AND DIRECTORS. WE ARE LOOKING FORWARD TO NEXT YR!!!!
