SWAC Showdowns ???

Would be a good idea to have showdowns in the SWAC before a rival game ? Ive noticed that MEAC bands do that. SCSU vs. NSU SCSU vs. NCAT BCU vs. FAMU NCAT vs. VSU Heck they even had a three way between VSU NCAT and NSU. I really like the way they have their show downs organized. Ive noticed at the SCSUvs.NSU showdown they have it in the gym of the school the game is at the day before. Each band has a crunk mix, and a certain amount of songs. Then They let each section have battles even the woodwinds ! and They have their dancers to battle.TNSU and SU had a similar showdown in 2008. I really think it would be cool to have SWAC bands to do this. What do yall think ?  http://youtu.be/rK4_lC5r3Ew

    I know that Texas Southern battles, Prarie view, Grambling, Pine Bluff, every year and last year Jackson State before the game that weekend... I would love to see them set up the Alcorn State, Mississippi Valley, Jackson State battle and the Alabama State vs. Alambama A&M battle, since Texas and Louisiana has a battle of the State... Pine Bluff could battle Memphis All Star.... LOL

      The only SWAC bands I know that do Show downs are TXSU and UAPB, TXSU and PV, TXSU and JSU, SU and GSU, and thats all I Know, Seems like TXSU is the only band that does that. It could be one before the SHC, Boombox, Magic City, and others. Whenever theres a big rivalry between the two schools bands.

        That's not the same thing as a showdown. You can't compare a BOTB to a showdown. NSU vs SCSU in the gym is a showdown. SU vs GSU is a showdown. In a showdown, both bands are side by side going song for song. The FLA Classic is a BOTB that consist of H.S. bands and a performance by each college band, but not at the same time like a show down. TxSU vs JSU did a showdown before too. There is a difference.
