but my BD played clarinet so yea I'm pretty sure I'd stand across from him in the bandroom and smash that sound all day lmao..

    • Jackson played Tuba? So wdf is SU tubaz so saucey?? Dat nikka musta been sum sauce!

N side note....tbone or btone....none of dem nikkaz wudve wanted to stand n front of me!

      • lmao.. I went to JSU so I can't speak on nothin bout them other than the fact that I kno he played tuba
        • Nobody on JSU staff cranked?? lol
  • George Edwards : FAMU - Saxophone.. Wasn't really into crank, but would play yo a** into a coma.. Would I have tried to stand toe to toe with him? Yea lol.. It would have been a learning experience.. (RIP)

Dr. Mqueen : FAMU - Trumpet.. Same as Prof ED.. Dude was a beast.. I would step up though (I got some tricks under my sleeve)..

Prof G : PVAMU - Trumpet.. He actually hoped in the section on 1 song.. Has a Great Tone.. Big round sound.. I'll step up..

Prof Jones TnSU - percussion.. But will REALLY kill your a** in theory and on keys..

All n all, our BDs prefer deep dark tones, and theory rather than cranking.. They do like to have a big sound, but contrary to SOME people's belief, it is not our main focus..
    • Didnt kno yall had that many FAMU grads on staff.
      • Yea bruh.. We're the "hybrid" band in the SWAC... (mixture of SWAC/MEAC)
  • Mr. Graham(Head BD): Saxophone-University of Central Arkansas

Mr. Evans (Assistant BD): Trombone-Grambling State. Dude is a freakin BEAST on EVERYTHING with perfect pitch out of the azz lol.

Mr. Fooster (Assistant BD): Percussion-Henderson State University/University of North Texas. IMO, he is that dude on Percussion.

Mr. Hudson (Head Arranger): Tuba-UAPB. That dude....period lol.

  • Grumbling?? lol
