oh thats was up my idea of a super band is jsu, su, and famu put together, and it'll have that power and balance to control the volume my band will consist of at least 1200 members areally good sight to see and hear!!!!!!! if you think of the tonality and clarity and the intricate music each have their own style of playing mixxed in
Yall can't be more specific?! Like, which attributes you would take from each program..... Makes it more of a discussion, rather than random, unsupported comments.
FAMU's trombones and woodwinds..... BamaState's tubas Southern's btones, mellos and trumpets......
250 members
It would be a a mix between the movin' and groovin' of the Jaguar-Rock, and the FAMU's innovative shows.
That would be my killer, BAND-EATER band..... If I could make a FUNKY band to go along with it, I would use....
Any JSU's Ol' School bands. END OF STORY. ***sigh*** What happened to that, "plays-everything-slow-and-groovy, like-my-drunken-uncle-at-a-bbq" JSU that I knew and loved?!?! Oh well..... Doc Magruder, SEND HELP FAST!!!!!
Famus Tubas and Woodwinds
Bethune Cookmans Lowbrass and Percussion
Southerns Trumpets and mellows
The Auxilary would all come from cookman.
It would be about 250 strong without auxilary. The woodwinds would have to hugely outnumber everything else to keep balance, followed by the trumpets, then the btones and trombones would be even, then the percussion, and then the tubas, and then the mellos would be the smallest section. But, seince they are SU mellos, they'd still be strong.
