Went to the Cinco de Mayo parade and seen these boys! And they sound real good too (they only had two or three brass pieces though) Glad to see them making strides....
Actually it was saturday...the 5th is tommorow. They did it the weekend before. It was bigger than it normally is and them kids from Stevenson was there too. Them kids are a beast! Around this time of year most of the bands are on concert/down time...

Thanks, I'm trying to find a drum competition to go to... I'm want my 8th graders to have one last ride. cause most of them are headed to Milby so other High Schools watch out for the return of A.L!!! and as a Former A.L member i will be working with them getting them ready for next yr.

Sam Houston has the best and worst situation in the city of Houston. They have 3 middle schools with thriving band programs. They can easily have close to 200 members.
However the administration really restricts the band. Since they dont have a football team, it hurts. Then on top of that since the kids cant perform the large sum of band members they get decide to do other things. ITs a shame. I really hope they let them get it together though. Thats where I got my start at 9 years ago.. (Dam Im getting old)
