That was back when high school bands were still extremely beast like lol. Sadly you aren't gonna find that nowadays lol. If some of the New Orleans schools bands were that big back b4 Katrina it would have been over. These two bands are super big and I know alot of bands would kill to be that big, but kids dont really care nowadays which is why high school band numbers have gone way down.
MillerGrove is killing them as of now.... and WHITEHAVEN and both are less than 100 members and better musicianship!! Redan aint even do the Cresendos in that fanfare.
thats not true for ALL dekalb bands..because personally 07 stephenson wouldve killed 05-06 stephenson sound and size wise. And the same goes for swd. the 07 SWD was a beast, 09 Stephenson has also done better than past stephenson bands {i.e: 05 and 02). 09 redan was better than 06-08 imo.

like i said before Miller grove is sorely OVERRATED! Any band would be loud playing chords, i like mg but they are over rated.
