YOU ALREADY KNOW WHO IM REPPIN
  • 1. St. Aug
    2. 35
    3. OPW
    4. Easton
    5. McMain
  • HOW DID YOU CUM UP WITH THAT ORDER....JUST CURIOUS
  • St. Aug trombones have been on top since 2006 in more ways than one. someone mentioned the fact that they are "weak" on songs or whatever but what does that have to do with playing ability? I'm no fan of St. Aug's "vehicle" but if it proved anything, it proved those boys can play their horn and thats something no comments, bashing, or haters can take away.

35 Trombones have also been on the rise since 2006 with the quality of their sound improving every year. I know for sure these boys can play and 50% of our book can prove that to you. Why aren't they over St. Aug...simply maturity in sound which is something we talk about everyday.

OPW Trombones have made a huge improvement in the last 2 years. I think they are the BEST section in their band. Why #3 though? Just haven't seen enough from them as far as playing ability.

Easton is kinda like Walker in the sense of they have all the makings of a good trombone section just not the arrangements which is not the fault of the kids because they're doing the best with what they have.

McMain's Trombone section isn't as solid as the top 3 in my opinion but in time that will change. Their talents are often better showcased than Easton but I just don't think they're better at this point. Keep in mind all of this is strictly opinion.
  • 1A.35----While i agree with black I think 06-07 and 07-08 35 had the better trombone section last yr and this yr is a push can go either way. Both have power ,tone, quality and fatness i give 35 the edge because they learn all these marcheses every yr and also the color of those cords nobody else is playin them they do a good job and their power is prob a lil stronger then st.aug
1B.ST.Aug-Could easily be number 1 but 35 cords are just crazy fat since 07
3.Walker- Trombones have increased since 08 but tone and quality not there yet
4.McMain-Nice sound remind me of 35 trombones 06-07 except tremendously LOWER but you all r on a strong come up and mite be in the conversation with the big 3 soon(St.Aug,Walker and 35)
5.Easton-Has fell off real hard im guessin prob. because they had 16+ the last 2 yrs and now only have 10-13
  • Finally Somebody on here that has some knowledge of something.....and trust I be all in they a$$ bout them chords
