I currently play on a blessing 3c and i sound pretty good and i can also scream on it but i seem to have a really bright sound..I am looking to switch to a mouthpiece that will improve my sound but i want to be able to keep my range..should i switch to a bach 5c megatone?

Mouthpieces help, but nothing will give you want but personal practice... and lots of it. Long tones especially. Keep in mind that having a bright sound is not bad [a SHRILL or scratchy sound is bad], it may just be part of your musical DNA. Part of what makes you sound like YOU... embrace it.
But to answer your question: switch from a Blessing 3c to a V. BACH 3c... they are slightly different [different brands different specs] but similar enough that you shouldn't have to adjust to a new 'feel'. Blessings aren't bad in general, but from experience I've found that they are less consistent than their Bach counterparts... you could get 2 Blessing 3cs and one will have 5c dimensions [yet still be named 3c]... it happens unfortunately.
Also, do some research! Find out what the numbers/letters mean. Stray away from the norm... everyone and their mother uses a 3c/5c/1c [not knocking the mouthpieces... but their is a HUGE variety of different sizes, shapes, plating, and material to choose from... the possibilities are endless.]
If you get a bright tone using a 3c, half the battle for you is already won. Often times, 3c's are used to give a more sturdy, dark tone. I'm with the above poster. It's gonna take some experimentation. I have tried MANY mouthpieces, including 1c, 3c, 7c, 10 1/2c, schilke 6a4a, 14a4a, schilke 14, Yamaha Bobby Shew Lead, Bob Reeves 42S, and i actually settled on a Bach 1D Megatone. It really depends mostly on you though. Experiment and find something that is comfortable for you,
well i use a 3c bach i mean i like it the best because its overall...but im startin to get used to it o much so this summer i will be getting on a 1C...ive tried shiclke purviance parduba marsikwitz or however you spell it...ive tried 5 c 7 c 12c 10c 1b 5b 3b and 1d as well as yamaha 6a4a 10a4a 1a4a and 15a4a alot pfmouthpieces but they all lacked something...in my opinion you cant go wrong with the c group it gives you everything you want...especially the 3 c...if your looking for range hop on a 1b for when you practice like weight training bu to me 3c is the best...lol the same mouthpiece arturo uses
