OK im a pretty decent trumpet player...i just need a little help. I have 3 mouthpieces and i dont know which one to stay on. I have a Bach 10 1/2c, a Bach 3c, and a Schilke 6a4a...on the 10 1/2 my highest note is a scream G but its kinda weak and flat...on the 3c my tone is pretty good and i can hit a good G on it...now on this schilke i can scream a Bb and have a good sound but kinda thin and sharp..and alot of people say i shouldnt play on the schilke...which one should i stick with!

Stay with the Bach 3C. Like the otha guy said get the hell off of that 10, it's just holding you back. That 3 will bring that volume out of you and make that tone FAT!!! Schilke's...man that 6 is so small, get off of that too cuz your tone will be thin. And like the other guy stated you get accustomed to a mouthpiece that fits YOU. Peoples lips are different sizes so what works for you may not work for the next guy. But if you go schilke get a bigger one at 14 or 15, I'm not big on schillkes but I have seen sum players get down on them. If you want the BEST buy a 1 1/2C bach for warm up and practice/concert band, and a 3C for cuttin the F&*K loose!!!!!

well bruh i personally play on a shilke 14a4a and i can really do some damage with it but i also know plenty of trumpet players that play on 3c and also 1 1/2 c so my suggestion would be either one of those.but continuing to change mouthpieces isn't a good practice.hurry up and make a decision and go with it
ive played on all of those....first....forget about the 10 1/2....pawn it, give it away, or something. next the 6a4a is only meant for screaming!!! unless you are just awsome there is no way your sound is gonna be good and warm...u can keep it but it would be a waste of time....but it seems like your all into screaming and thats not a good start...never cheat....if you want to scream build the endurance for it i play and scream on a 7c,sometimes a 3c... but thats because i just like it ....go with the 3c...its better, sounds better, and you can scream on it.BUT build your endurance and lip muscles to do so...the 3c is what i recommend
