Two Houston Bands mentioned in Local Newspaper Article!!!!!

This Article features Stephen F. Austin High School Sonic Boom Marching Band and The Worthing Marching 100. Two of the top programs in the city. Congrats to both groups for keeping it going through adversities.

this is my favorite paragraph so far lol

"This is your band, it ain't my band," says Runnels. "It's on everyone here; if you want to be good, it's on you to step up."

I have heard this TOO MANY times in the past 7 years. But it is so true

But good luck to both programs this season, just one thing to remember. Everyone person in the band program should have PRIDE. With PRIDE, you can achieve things you only dream about.

Great job to both bands! we must keep working hard to get these programs to the next level! if you haven't got ur issue go pick one up and check the stories out. these stories are real, not fake like reality tv! keep up the good work and lets see if we can get to that next level.

Lmao! I kno right??!! Lol....but overall this was a great experience for these band students and it will help each 1 get stronger in their own way..

I think in order to be a band director, you must have a crazy certificate LOL. I think we all say some of the same things to the kids.
In actuality when you think about the expectations of an HISD Band Director, it is crazy. But I know for one, our bands would make a hell of a reality show. There's never a dull moment in our band room.

Good luck 2 both band programs....man mr j I kno you have made impact on d graduates of whs (also comin 4rm dowlin) and I kno ur #s will come with d hard work ur doing n u will make impact on d ppl there on now....wish d best of success 2 u and my Alma Mater the marching 100....
