  • $13,000 from student fees is going to the band??? but SU can find $16k for someones son to get a raise? $120k to hire a temporary professor??? Come on now Mason... Clayton are all crooks and friends. And you can bet "bag man" Cleo's watchful eye isnt too far away.

Jackson should go grab a handful of misappropriated cash from the 50-gallon barrel next to the chancellors office. Hell, everyone else is... yea!

"Come all of my friends, cut band / student funding and well give ourselves a raise!"

No wonder Su has no endowment...
  • I heard that Mason was given the job by our good friend Mississippi Gov.Haley Barbour who wants all HBCU's closed!!!
  • Every band goes through this..

But it's slightly different here in Louisiana because Every School is hurting..
.but we all know how they roll in Louisiana Politics..
  • Well I predicted this some years ago, while it is unfortunate that the band cant travel as it usually does I still think about the millions that was taken out of Louisiana for hosting that Bayou classic in Houston, there were Louisiana alternatives, (namely shreveport who were offering facilities for free) though not as big but everything having to do with La was scaled down in 05. Just maybe a slice of all that tax revenue that would be generated could have filtered down...
and if the band is travelling to support the football team how much money from ticket sales and such are diverted to the band program if any? how does the sports teams travel? is there a cheaper alternative? how about condensing or cutting 1 fulltime staff member I guarantee that will pay for band trips and if its a professor shit it can pay for years of travel expenses...

I read the article and have come to the conclusion that the band expenses should come from sports revenue. If the bands don't come then as many people wont show up and thats real
