This game between JSU and Bama St could be a great rivalry. The both 2 1/2 hours apart and they both have good football teams. The band directors from both schools need to get their heads out the cloud by thinking their bands are the best and visit each others game. This is a game for the team, alumni, fans, not the band directors who feel they aren't coming because they didn't come to us last. GET OVER IT BAND STAFF AND BRING THE BANDS TO THE DAMN GAME. If bama state can go entertain those white people way up in Michigan they come come entertain us in Jackson. On the other hand if JSU can go way to Texas to face TSU they can make the small track to Montgomery.
Let us flood both band directors and tell them to visit one another. I'm calling bama state's director tomorrow morning.
Unless you floss them with money for gas food and hotel you wasting yo time. I don't care how bad you wanna play someone if we don't have the money we staying home. FYI Jackson and Montgomery are about 6 hours apart on a bus

In the past few years, Bama St. has been at the end of our football schedule which means its less likely of a chance The Boom would travel down there. You right, the Boom did go to Texas....but at what cost? Two other away games. The Boom hadn't been to Texas since 2003 before last season.
If Bama St. happens to be at the beginning of the schedule next season, the better chance they will make it.

I hope they do come.. the Boom hasn't sat down for a game with the Bamas since 07 n I think it's about time for them to get they issue again like in 06 GCC..
