you know i see a lot on here when ppl may say such and such university marching band when truthfully they never march at all or do a piss poor job of it.what band should have that title removed and have "walking or stand" band added insteadnow is the time to make these changes since we still have time to change banners and future posts for fall 09

I haven't seen Alcorn lately, so it's hard to say. But the old school Alcorn was right up there with SU in terms of drilling.

c trumpfunk93 i made this thread because so many bands have forgot about what attracted ppl to hbcu's in the first place and thats halftime.bands now days are only concerned with whats gonna happen when they return to the stands or the 5th quarter but if u notice look at how many ppl remain in the stands for the 5th quarter versus how many are there during halftime.its like putting on a half azz concert when the arena is packed but as soon as the concert is over and the ppl are leaving you bring out your best shti.too many bands are resorting to this and its not the students but the staff thats not concentrating on this anymore.and this definitely doesn't apply to only jsu.you guys may not drill like you did in the past but you still play and are heard on the field.some other bands will blow your hat and plume off yo head in the stands but when they r on the field you can't even tell what the hell they are attempting to play.it wasn't this way back in the day.nobody slacked.
