  • i think it is a good idea but arkansas is too spread out

and the number of showstyle bands in arkansas is low

  • Me and my friend were talking about it and we're tryna contact The BD's from PB high, Dollarway, and Jacksonville...and if we get something going we are gonna try to get ppl to participate from other schools
  • but all together that would be a band of about 60-75 people. and nothing dangerous
  • yea thats true...maybe if we get it started up it will expand over the years
  • hopefully one day
  • yep
  • It can happen,,,,I definitely will be willing to help see that come to fruition
  • best of luck to yall
  • ha ha ha

This is something that I've been trying to do since 2004. People like Sam Meredith at LR Central (at the time), Jerry Dawson at Hall High School, and the guy at Parkview were supposed have been the "marquee/too notch ni55as" in Little Rock and they were shutting the idea down for some time. They, especially Sam Meredith, kept on pushing the idea away, cause they are "concert band directors." That's not anything wrong with that, but sometimes band directors don't understand that they have to do what the kids wanna do for a change. I'm not saying to allow the students to run your band program, just allow them to share band fun as well.
What Can I do To Start All Star and Alumni Bands in Arkansas ?
I think it would be pretty nice if we have an All Star band and Alumni Band in Arkansas for the off season just like Memphis and other Cities do...Ho…
  • Well Mr.Meredith isn't at lrch now so we can try to start one up again. We really need to put Arkansas on the map and show them we hang with the best of them
