  • I am looking for profiles on local bands. Their schedule, band trip for the year, Rivalries, what makes this rivalry different from others. Pics of the bands in the stands as well as on the field. Listing of the seniors and their choice of colleges similar to bluechip prospects in sports. A ranking of the bands according to their area, maybe region. This magazine should be the leading source for info regarding Battle of the Bands, concert literature for individuals and bands, also, listing camps of the colleges. The ads in the magazine should showcase our bands displaying their products. The mag should chronicle a band's journey to major events, such as Rose Bowl parades, Macy's, Mardi Gras, etc....The same attention given to marching band should be given to jazz and concert band as well. We tend to shy away from that aspect of our bands, but concert and jazz components in our music programs make marching band better. Let's not forget choir. I would love to know what selections other schools are performing at contest as well as their end of year concert. Together we can uplift our programs and be proud to say that you are a part of America's best music programs.

  • In every monthly issue they have a section called "This Month In Band History"..that would be tight...then a section with a 1 on 1 interview with a schools director or band member....
