There are many high school bands that try to be like southern, J-state, etc. not only do many bands try to sound like these college bands but they try to do the same ritual acts as some of these college bands try to do from the stories they have heard. I want to hear your opinion on this issue. What type of example are these college bands setting for high school bands across America???

  • i think all that crazy hazing stuff come from highschool and then they take it with them 2 college
  • not a very good one. I mean why do you have to abuse someone who's comitted to the same thing that you're doing the fact of the matter is that they re younger and beacause they went through it now they want revenge.
  • as dumb as hazing in college is, high school hazing has to be the dumbest thing i have ever heard of.

truth be told, i didnt know anything about hazing while i was in high school but when i got to college i saw how it went down. now aint nothing wrong with mind games and pushups, but im taking about ppl in high school giving other folks wood.
  • I do my hazing with a pen.

    Not cutting the mustard? "F"!!!!

Some kids went RUNNING to the counselors' office when progress reports came out, and they realized we weren't going to give them a grade for sitting around and breathing our air..
  • LOL I must say i am the total opposite. Now i do say some people take it too far but if there is no struggle there is no respect. "hazing" to ya'll is learning to be humble to me!!!! Its like a family when someone new is trying to get into ur family u not just gone except them with open arms u gone give them a hassle. try to see what they about about. So why let a freshman come in talking to yo family like they been there? No u gone shut yo @$$ up and do what i tell u to do. Well thats how it used to be lol THANGS IN THE GAME DONE CHANGED!!!
  • Im looking @ this from a upper classmen and freshman point of view...Hazing is when you phsically lay hands on someone not phsically training, I see why some bands continue the hazing 1 it's been around so long its hard 2 get rid of and from the looks its not going nowhere and 2 most hazing goes on for discciplinary reasons. But my mom didn't believe me when I said it goes on everywhere she wanted me 2 change my mind about SU after the little hazing incident now that I showed her the fornt page of bandhead (the JSU 45) she doesn't know what to say...
  • i agree the have no discipline and no respect so 1 way to get it try to treat em with respect 1st but heres the thing about that...YOU CAN'T...they will take advantage of your niceness so they only way 2 get it is..."I'll leave that to you" but strike fear in them
