  • they'd still have outside state members getting in on academic scholarships ...
  • I dont think it would affect bands much.

But most students dont chose a College near their home anyways. Not sure why, unless its MIT, Stanford, Ivy Leauge etc... I see no reason to go out of State and rack up loans.

    • ...cuz there ain't no bands in Cali...that's why !!!   (excuse me, that country stuff just fell out)
    • Actually many HBCU's annual tuition is cheaper than staying in-state. When I was applying for college, it cost more money to attend the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign compared to FAMU. I understand what you are saying, but some people would prefer to attend school out of state. Ivy leauge schools aren't for everybody man, same way for small liberal colleges, HBCU's, etc.
  • None... that whole notion is pretty stupid...
    • Brah don't turn this post into this, just getting people views on what the impact of out state students on a program if you feel it's stupid just don 't reply man. Not even that serious!!
      • Turn the post into what??? I am just speaking my mind... People are so damn sensitive...
        • This cat Damien always got something to say
  • Louisiana and Texas HBCU's would be fine, but the Mississippi's, Alabama's, ect would be screwed becuz of the large number of HBCU's in there state MS(Alcorn, JSU, MVSU, Tougaloo*) Ala(AAMU, ASU, Miles, etc)
    • it might actually help Ga tho...i think Ga has more HBCU's than any other state yet the bands are very small...there's Morris Brown, Savannah St, Morehouse, Albany St, Clark Atlanta, Fort Valley St
