MANY HIGH SCHOOL BAND THAT I SEE AND COMPETE AGAINST COPY SOME OTHER STYLE OR SCHOOL AND CLAIM IT AS THERE OWN. HAS ANYONE EVER STOPPED TO THINK ABOUT WAT THE HECK THEY ARE DOING? ITS FUNNY BECAUSE THEY THEN WANT TO CALL THEMSELVES THE BADDEST BAND IN THE LAND WHEN IN REALITY THEY ARE THE BEST COPY CATS IN THE LAND DUHHHHHH . LET ME KNO WAT YALL THINK.

A real High School Band is a band that can compete on various levels, whether its with bands of capcity of 300 members or 50 members. They are very versitle in the muscianship. They are able to play all any type of music written. They set the standards for other bands in there region. They are true muscianship. They have Pride. They are Dedicated, Determined, and Disciplined.
in a perfect world yes but we alllllllllll kno that its not how it all works my band maury high school marching commodores love nsu i do too and hope to march with them soon but i have to remind them that we arent them. we have our own style and thats how it is you feel me? but you have a good point.
A REAL high school band shows musicianship no matter what. This means if a college band came and battled them then they should take them out. A real high school band can play anything you through at them. If they are REAL good then they should be able to write their own music and not the director all the time. By written music I mean great music not just good music. A REAL high school band looks at a college field show and creates one better. A REAL high school band takes their skills to the next level and SUCCEEDS. A REAL high school band doesn't have to brag about how goo or great they are; they let their HARDWORKING TALENT speak for itself. A REAL high school band is a WINNER no matter what. A REAL high school band has heart,courage, strength, soul, spirit, pride, skills, stamina, love,endurance, and GOD. That's a REAL high school band.
i can't speak for everyband but every band in new orleans has there own style and it can't be copy'd its different frm any band in louisiana bucuz they say every band in louisiana copys southern u which is not true but im not speakind for everyband in louisiana tho thats how i feel
I think that a real high school band is a band that has a mature sound. A band that each individual take responsabilities for their actions on n off tha field. A band that plays with musicianship and not jus wateva comes out tha end of tha horn. They take pride in everything they do if its with tha band or not to give it a good reputation of tha band as a whole and its individuals. Can play a variety of genres of music and still preform them high quality....i think thats bout it...or all i can think of right now...

I THINK THERE ARE NO REAL OR FAKE HIGH SCHOOL BANDS THERE ARE JUST BANDS...YOU CANT HELP BUT MIMIC BANDS...I WOULD RATHER JUST EXTRACT PIECES OF PRGRAMS AND PUT THEM INTO MY BAND...YOUR GONNA HAVE A LIL BIT OF EVERYTHING I YOUR BAND...BE HUMBLE, WILLING TO LISTEN, NO WHAT A BAND SUPPOSED TO SOUND, SOUND QUALITY B4 VOLUME ALWAYS
In my opinion a real high school band is a band that has the spirit to work and create their own style with 500 members or 30 size doesnt matter its the musicianship that does
