BLOCK BAND continues to strive for greatness in 2016. We are delivering arrangements to schools across the nation, spanning every time zone.
Speaking of arrangements, our arrangers are constantly learning how to improve their craft. During a conference call, we invited Mr. Lawrence Jackson, former Director of Bands at Southern University, to talk with us about countermelodies and other techniques as well as his experiences.
He also expressed his positive opinion of the job BLOCK BAND does. "If you buy one arrangement, you'll buy more."
We greatly appreciate the seal of approval and praise from such a figure within the showstyle band community. As a minority owned company, we want to represent ourselves and our craft with the utmost integrity.
We are continuing to push to work with more schools across America. Recently two of our songs, including "I Would Die For U" (from our Prince catalog), were played at the Alabama State HS Band Camp!
BLOCK BAND is excited to see what the rest of 2016 holds.
