BLOCK BAND continues to have an outstanding 2015 so far. Our family of customers ever increases and we constantly add to our catalog of music and products. We also invest in the development of our staff and stay involved with the community.
During a recent full staff meeting, we were graced with the presence of former Director of Bands of the Southern University Human Jukebox, Mr. Lawrence Jackson. We picked his brain about various topics and learned alot about his philosophies on arranging, being a director, the current state of HBCU bands, and much much more.
We at BLOCK BAND also have been in contact with other people and organizations that are serving the showstyle band community in various ways.
A recent conference included Barney Smart II (Double Time Entertainment), Eustace Arnold of (Ourcraft825.com), Dr. John Hodge (Urban Learning & Leadership Center), Joseph Beard (The Marching Podcast), Dr. Kevin Davenport (Author, Adjudicator & Band Consultant), Rashad Watters (Block Band Music & Publishing, LLC), Tyrone McCollum (Marching 8to5 Entertainment), and Walter Williams (National Show Band Association). These leaders together are providing the entire band community with great ideas, passionate messages, and a true love for our craft.
BLOCK BAND is very excited for the bright future ahead!
