What to expect from N.O bands 2010-2011

okay i just want to clarify several rumors. these are just questions that i would like to be answered.

1. I was told that walker is loosing many of their band members this year due to so many of them graduating. is that true?

2. for weeks now people have been saying that St Augs band director is stepping down this year. I recently found out that the principal and the presdent of st aug are both stepping down but i have no word on the band director. please clarify if this rumor is true.

3. What will other bands in new orleans be looking like this year? who will be the bands to rise up from last year?

these are all my questions.

McMain is packing a punch, but there drills aren't all that. No matter what happens at St.Aug there still and always will be a houshold name.

Fr.Raphel got moved up to President so St.Aug is now looking for a new principal as far the BD, i havent heard anything but some Alumni ive talked to say its time for him to go.

I just found out that Virgil Tiller not tha band director @ St. Aug no more. He didn't step down but his contract expired when this past school year ended and tha school didn't give him a new one.

Really??? Where did you find this information out? I can relate, they recently did the same thing with St marys band director ms erica james. she wont be back next year either..

I was on Facebook and seen somebody status about them not renewing his contract and he commented on it. He was sayin that he offered tha school a deal but they still didn't wanna renew it and that he also think that some alumni hatin on him contributed to that decision. If I find tha link Ima post it on here

This was tha status that a dude that was drum major in 2001 wrote

"Well its been a good run. Virgil Tiller is no longer the band director at St. Augustine High School. Guess Imma definitely have some songs for Roots of Music na."

and this what Virgil wrote in tha comment section

"Thanks E. Man dudes have mad criticism on fb but nothing in person. Maybe we should take that same energy and use it to donate $ to the school. And this might hurt ppl feelings but if you wernt in a Hamp run band you don't have a reference of what's a good St. Aug. And before people get it twisted I offered the school a package they rejected and so life goes on. No hard feelings on both sides. Real talk. I know we gone have some fb gangsters that will respond but I expect that."
