I know the answers to this..... but ill wait, cuz you might be shocked lol.

I wanna see 1.) Best trombone conference.

2.) Top 3 trombone sections regardless of conference.

Now keep in mind we should be judging according to efficiency is areas such as Balance and Blend (!st, 2nd, and 3rd in B&B with each other and WITH THE BAND) Intonation, Attack AND Release. Tone (NOT THE DUCK SOUND FULL ROUND TONES), Depth of Sound, technique,  Power (not volume, cosistant thick sound, not thin and non thin), dexterity, Style and yes people, the FanFare game and etc... (anything i missed)

Look at their works with the band and as a section.

And may the Best Bones Win....

  • Thats the only way it ever is 2 tall.

    Life in the Swac

  • It was a very good battle of yesteryear brother. This is the very same year I learned to play the trombone.

But I got the music to that simpsons fanfare in my e mail address right now.

    Great start...

You cant judge conferences  - each bands have their abilities. There are great programs and crappy programs in all conferences. Its kinda hard to judge cross conference lines since we rarely play each other. Here is a clip I found back in 98 with FAMU and JSU battling it out. Its pretty entertaining.

  • SWAC:
    SU
    JSU
    AAMU
  • Everything is relative, BTW, How could one say which conference is better Trombone wise when i know many haven't seen each trombone section in each conference. Most posts will lack validity and will be simply bias like most posts are these days.
  • so when you gonna hand that music over??? Thats the only fanfare i wanted to play since i came here
