I THINK THAT THE SPARTAN LEGION (NSU) WAS THE BEST NECK!!ITS LOUD AS HELL. THEY EVEN GOT SOUTHERN ANS FAMU BEAT. ITS LIKE A COMBINATION OF EVERY VARIATION THAT YOU CAN PLAY. THE INSTRUMENTATION IS INCREDIBLE. IN MOST 'NECKS THERE ARE PARTS MISSING. NSU HAS THOSE AND THEN SOME. SOME BODY GOTTA BOOGER.......
ok how about this none of these other bands would've known nothin about this song or better yet would've ever played this if it wasnt for my boy,my friend epeval taylor who was the 1st person to write this and southern university was the 1ST band to play this so any1 else that came behind his arrangement would be copying him therefore his(southern)was the best because all others are just variations of his arrangement of this song.no disrespect to the originators of this song
what kills me about this post is you don't include grambling..... Grambling one of the main schools, if not main school that has made neck what it is today.

Texas Southern has been playing the same version of Neck since 1984 ..
Its actually sounds like the song too ..lol
That and GSU's Old Version..
