Will Mr. Murry stay on...or will a JSU ALUM......lead the band???? Dr. Magrauder would be a good choice...but I don't think it will happen THIS YEAR....maybe Next Year!!!

Mr. Murray will continue to be Interim Band Director......we are in the process of hiring a new President and a new AD.....a band director position really isn't a priority right now
The Sonic Boom has excellent leadership currently. Common Sense says that with all the economic changes going on, you got the best stick with the best and that is Renardo Murray. Yes there have been changes but those changes have been good for the Sonic Boom. I think the problem is people want the foolishness to continue that happened during other administrations. Well that 's over and people now have to be accountable for their actions inside the program. Regardless of what is said the Sonic Boom had a stellar program this year and it will continue to be. Murray has the know how and the integrity to lead this program where it wants to go and if people (you know who you are) cannot see that then, I feel sorry for them because they are about to miss out on one of the best educators to EVER pass through the doors of Jackson State University.

IF and Im jus sayn IF we did get a new HEAD BD it should be someone that was in the band from 94 and back..someone who know's that REAL BOOM style. Preferrably a cat from 87 thru 91!!! BUT! I dont want to condemn Mr. Murray after his crab year as head BD! There were changes made that was for the better so, I do want to wait till the end of next season to see that final product!!!
But i will say this tho..jsu shouldnt hire any more BD's that didnt march in that program!
