First thing is first I see sound high schools with betta sounds than the alumnis.........And the high school do not sound tat good.......NOTE TO DIRECTORS stop handi capiing our MUSIC GENERATION WITH battles until they have a balanced and well known undrstanding of phrase.......the reason bands sound bad is because the BEST BAND SOUNDS Like a piece of....DUCK POOP ON A STICK.........,I AM MAD BECAUSE I BEEN studying and playing my horn for 16yrs i have never put it down so i just pick back up the horn is an excuse ALUMNI"S lets et a god example for the younger EARS.........I play ALL BRASS............Betta ask about me last high school i marched for REED last College i marched for was MILES ......I play trumpet professionally know n in a school.............ARTIST DON'T Make a way ">object> ">object> ">object> ">object> ">object> ">object> ">object>

I posted to old clips so yall could see how far off we are why is the band world going backwards and you so called musicans satisfied with not sound good i did not march whenthe band sound bad but i marched every game so when i had a problem i sacrificed my skills to teach and not with words i made my tone articulations and playing abilities felt in every band i ever marched....I am in school to teach music and when i get my band yall will see me produce MORE MONSTERS like me anybody who has ever stod next to me long enough became a beast on theBECAUSE YOU SUCK POINT BLANK .... CHANLLENGE YOURSELVES O KEEP THE FIRE BURNING NOT JUST HAVE BATTLES TO SHOW CASE CRAP>>>>>> BUT TO HOLD THE THRON UP FOR THE MUSICIANS BEHIND YOU .......IF YOU CAN TEACH YOUR INSTRUMENT TO ANYONE YOUR HAVE NOT LEARNED IT REAL TALK

it's neccesary when you look at the positive sides of having all star bands when comparing it to the the musicianship and leadership in todays bands,,
with that said. I enjoyed GHASB it sounds like the Birthchild of the Storm and The Ocean. I see the benefits in that bands existence. and it''s come along greatly since the time i've first seen it.

i beg to differ to me all-star band helped me learn how to balance with a bigger section instead of 2 deep see because i was in a small band.. but all-star is the closet thing to a college band you can get to in high school far as section numbers..... also when your in a all-star band you strive to be your best no matter who you are because 1st your representing your self 2nd your own school and 3rd your city so in that makes you become musically and mentally... i dont see how your not seeing any improvement when i kno for sure that college bd's as wells as interns who are in college are helping bands out in such case as greater Houston all-star band an if u say u dont see improvement in that band your a (d)amn kuz i was in the band when it was sorry and watched it become the beast it is today
I can see and understand some of the things this brother is saying but I do see benifits of the all-star/Alumni band concepts! As long as an element of teaching is being done, then it's nothing wrong with it! It's just in some cases when there's no musical assets being accomplished and they are just blowing just for the heck of it is the negative part! I'm going on record that next year this time I'll have a group in place to share in this band experience and hopefully have it to grow into a yearly traveling group to help stregnthen the musical aspect of what we love and do so well!
