    If directors had first-person control, there would be a botbs every week. It's usually funding and red-tape that they can't get around.

    but here are some I know of.

    WHY DO HIGH SCHOOL BAND DIRECTORS WAIT TO THE LAST MINUTE TO PULL OF BOTBS?
    95% OF THEM ALL GET YOU TO COME THEIR SCHOOL BATTLE OF THE BANDS THEN WAIT TILL THE LAST MINUTE AND PULL OUT OF THE OTHER BANDS BATTLE OF THE BANDS.
