Thats an idea that im ready for. i know all about hutch bro. My sister marched with KC back when they had a cold ass band, AND THATS A MIDDLE SCHOOL! those schools are a waste of space right now, they might as well use them. Hutch was a beast in dallas. Football team wasnt that bad either, if im not mistaken. maybe this is what dallas needs to put that energy back in tthere like it use to be.

I agree this could be an eye-opener for the city. And yes Kennedy Curry was a bad ass middle school...but maaan i would love to know who will be working with the drumline.

This what happens when your own ISD cant raise taxes to support the money it has wasted. They take it from others in the form of, "merging" and piss every dollar they steal AWAY!

I see a crap load of money being pissed away on so-called renovations.

Theyre building a new school for $14 million and renovating two others at $20 million a pop??? STOOOOOPID!

People need to stop living in la-la land. Sounds a bit harsh but the school will start off with a bang and maybe 3 years down the road... Youll see.

yea.. they're reopening.. But DISD is converting A. Maceo Smith into an all girls school.. So they're splitting Maceo up and i think Lancaster up as well (if im not mistakin).. We'll see though.. They were a powerhouse in Dallas when I was marching.. spoke with Mr. Pruitt and some old school Hutch band members, and theres some talk of a alumni band for them... im anticipating the return of the Marching Music Machine..

yea i agree but i think of alot of this would end if we as alumni and as current band members and most of all parents have to get invovled got to the district and SPEAK OUT!!!! We need to have sufficient funding for all of our band programs. They dont push for bands in Dallas like they did when i was in school....if u ask me the powerhouses of disd to me always been Lincoln Maceo Soc Velt Kimball Townview and Carter but its not that way any more....Now a days we have sunset skyline lancaster in the mix so hey we need this ppl.....GET OFF YO ASS AND GET INVOLVED!!!!!Thats the only way we can change these terrible things that DISD cant get right....make this shit fun again......but good luck to WILMER HUTCHINS thye band and school...and when someone finds out who will director the band and drumline let it be known.....lol

I heard that they shutting down Townview band program and they sending the director I believe Mr.Hill over to there.
