Your all time favorite high school band?

what band made you a bandhead and why?

I grew up in Alexandria so of course Peabody Magnet High school is my favorite high school showband. This band is the reason I picked up a tuba. There style has always been patterned after the jaguar rock which led me to SU before I knew who they were. My favorite season of this band would have to be 98 thru 2000 and the 03-04 version.

    besides my own marching band...St Aug out of New Orleans would have to be my favorite!!

    Besides my own, Willowridge is my favorite band. My favorite season is most definitely the 98-99 season.

    I'm going to have to choose the band who I grew up being around. The band who I have always dreamed of being in. The band who many of my family members were fortunate enough to be a part of. St. Augustine 's Marching 100.

     

    I still remember watching them practice every day by Hardin Park during football practice when I was about 6. The first time I saw them, I became hooked. Other than my brother (McD35/ESJ Tuba c/o 08), The Marching 100 is the reason why I am in a band today. It's sad that I moved away from the city right before I started high school which would have definitely been at St. Augustine. I will always respect them and their legacy.

    I gotta go with St. Aug. I been a fan since I was little. I remember how you always knew when St. Aug was coming up the street during a parade. You could tell it was them, because the chaperons would back yo ass up all the way to the sidewalk.lol. And then you could hear them blowing all the way down the street. They have always set the standard for N.O. bands.

    ahhh Its gotta be a tie between Southwest Dekalb and Whitehaven Sometimes I wish I lived in Atlanta so I could go to SWD that is a really good HS Band and Whitehaven, I saw them at The Little Rock, Ar BOTB and thats when I was first interested in them they really good too.

    Oh yea, I gotta give some credit to "The K" as well. Every time they battled St. Aug it was EPIC!!! Those battles strictly came down to preference of song selection. No one could really blow out the other. Da Aug is my all-time tho because they were the ONLY high school band with the balls and talent to battle SU(Yes this actually happened, the clips are on this site.).

    i grew up listening to southwest dekalb high. originally my dad was gonna send me there but it wasnt my home school . now i go to miller grove high which is a big rival of swd
