Be truthful with yourself and the board....

 

 

Does the Bayou Classic <b>NEED</b> the World Fame?

 

Do you think you could plug in another college (<i>or, top tier HS</i>) with the Human Jukebox and get better attendance?

 

 

 

What's "your" opinion on "this" subject provided?

    Nah....its tradition.....even if Gram has been having its down years recently....im sure it was times way back when i yesteryear where SU had the same problem.......maybe.......possibly.....lol

    my opinion nah...

    HOWEVER.....

    since you DO speak of high schools....they could try and do a HS BOTB right before the actual one or maybe on that Friday

    So, if Grum made prior arrangements for the Friday BOTB's for whatever reason...and, JStinky or BamaSt. or TxSU had to replace them. You don't think it'll be a better turn out?

    I think that the BOTB could def go for another band. No smack inteneded but I went to the BOTB for the 1st time as a spectator and I could not stand sitting and waiting for it to be SU's turn again. SU and JSU or SU and TxSU would def draw a bigger band head crowd.

    As far as the actually football game, I don't see anyone else drawing more of a crowd than the annual SU vs GSU football game. Ol Eddie Rob left a stamp on the nation that is long lasting! GSU's band hall should be named after him!

    Band wise yes....but just as far as tradition goes, i think its too deeply rooted into Gram's history to battle yall at the Bayou.

    They would prob have to open up more of the dome is the stankers showed up.......can't even deny that. For some strange reason its the biggest band matchup in the SWAC but the win loss column is pretty lop sided lol

    Ps- Yall stop trying to put a neck brace on the Shame by sneak'n in Gram's football program. Heck, if the World Shame wasn't there...I'd pay to watch Gram football, too. Back in the day, you could actually learn sum'n from ol' Eddie.

    SU might have had an average year here or there, but the band was always of good quality even in those down years.

    I think that an SU vs. Jackson State matchup would outdraw the current setup. I think the BoomBox classic is a much more heated rivalry for the bands, fans, and team. Nothing against GSU, because we hate ya'll too, but not as much as Jackson State. I am not sure Texas Southern and Alabama State would have as much of a band following as JSU, Grambling, and Southern.

    Besides, according to GSU people, the crowd is 95% SU anyway so the opposing band wouldn't matter.
