Jackson state had way more potential than this and could have had 45 more upper brass members; We are very disappointed in Jackson state Band Leadership; they lost 13 btones 10 mellos 20 trumpets. They were supposed to have 34 btones 30+ mellos and 64 trumpets this 2015-2016 season. The current roster for 2015-2016 season is 23 btones 22 mellos 45 Trumpets and 48 trombones. Jsu 2014 band had 25 btones 23 mellos 49 trumpets and 33 Tbones. JSU 2014 upper brass is still the largest in JSU history; But they could have broken that record this year 2015-2016 season but failed because 45 band members had bad grades. Over 45 upper brass band members had to quit because of bad grades, this should have never happened going into 2015-2016 season. JSU band leadership have to focus more on education so that they can keep the numbers they are trying to achieve. JSU 2015-2016 should have been 385 instead of 339 with at least 200 upper brass. They would have been bigger than BCU (BCU is 360 2015-2016 edition). Hopefully we can break that band record next season 2016-2017.
Jackson state had way more potential than this and could have had 40 more upper brass members; I'm very dissapointed in Jackson state Band Leadership; they lost 10 btones 10 mellos 20 trumpets. They were seposed to have 33 btones 30 mellos and 64 trumpets. The current roster is 23btones 22 mellos 43 trumpets and 47 trombones. So they actually lost 40 members (upper brass numbers dropped from last year -40 upper brass) due to horrible grades. JSU 2014 is steal the largest in JSU History not 2015-2016 season. They look big because they are spread out on the floor but the stands will swallow them up. JSU Leadership should focus more on education so they can keep what they are looking to achieve.

So far, I'm loving this bigger Jackson. Very nice sound.
