In the 80's the Marching 100 was famous for bringing MJ's hits to the field. Michael Jackson would be sure to let the band staff know how pleased he was to know the Marching 100 playing his songs in front of 80,000 screaming fan on any given Saturday. In the dance routine we did "Thriller" playing and dancing at the same time (unlike some other bands) I played trumpet that year.
