  • I marched with Gibson, he's a born Leader. Wish he could be on the staff at Alcorn somewhere because even while a student in SOD he had us on fire. I think the entertainment value that Alcorn provides is the best its been in about a decade, still improving though. Murray is an Alcornite as well & to bring back SOD from the depths like he has shows he's qualified to be at the helm IMO. The drills just need work. I'm not satisfied with them at all.

  • but didnt murry graduate from ASU? ANd he is a drill master right? Asu need to get back to asu from drum majors to style and focus on that! Im glad they brung back songs too. Entertainment is what is lacking in the SOD murry is fit he just need to get control like he want but imo strickly imo gibson should of gotten the job they say he not qualified but look at the ocean but hey imo but the swac would be a fool to sleep on asu, gsu, uapb for 2013
  • @ Tony, he allows it, because they got alot cleaner toward the end of the year compared to the beginning. The drills need alot of work. They don't drill any where near what I'm use to seeing from Alcorn, but its just year 2 of bringing SOD back to where they need to be so I'm patient.

  • if murry allows it, many of friends i know say murry dont focus on clean he wants loud, asu had trouble transioning to the blow part of many songs amd it caused the ending of most of their songs to jumble to just noise. Im actually looking forward to seeing gsu vs asu since it will be mid season both bands will and hopefully had gotten sound together plus gsu always gets house at alcorn. Hope murry just get asu drills together honda drill could of been better and they had two weeks to get it. Alcorn will step up in 2013 along with alot others they gave jsu hell.
  • I agree tony, they started cleaning it up more toward the end of the year so I think they'll continue on that trend next year.

  • if asu clean up their overall sound they will hve another good season!! Asu has came a lohg way sound wise they just need to control that power. 2013 asu will be a band i fe looking forward to hearing.
