Looking at this clip all of SU rap songs have the same format on all the break down tubas, trombone then b-tone with the loud whole notes the the full band without the drums. Yep there rape songs are very predictable.
Now to get on my school I don't know what happen in 06 this band started off with a big bang and after the J-State it look like it went down. Don't get me wrong 06 was cranking but it did not have the same energy. This band could of actually been better then 03 band. Me looking on the outside the student leadership was weak and some people should not been leaders also some students was putting to much of there noise into everything. I bet if Big E, and Mario was the student leaders of this band we would of seen a difference from this band. But hey that was way in 06 and the band has move on.
@payton them were the best 2011 was back. Go look at bad clips and see pages of bashing. Then a good clip its three. Many ppl dont watch the clip just comment. Thats life. Yet ppl comment bad bout the heavy hitters "you hating" yet its ok when they say what they want. But gsu show was ok but if gsu stayed consistent gsu could of murked manY BANDS IN 06

BTW, this is one year we should have handled many bands, started off real strong but Doc didn't even practice for the Bayou Classic, all the band did was practice for The Rose Bowl Parade and it showed that much practice didn't go in for the Classic. As for 2006, it's now 2012, battles will not be lopsided.
Not a smart ass question at all....but if you never watched the GSU band how do u know it's "getting back on it's feet".....2010 maybe....but 2011 was the sound many dreamed of. Not the loudest dog in the yard, but surely sounded better than or up to par with the "best"......I tell u like I tell every younger person that watches band....don't give GSU a bad rap til you look into it yourself. Sites like this...ESPECIALLY sites like this....will make you THINK one thing....you gotta go beyond that thought

That's a common format for everyone now days.. if its not a 3 hour tuba break. it's a drum break or a No drums after the break or during the bridge.

yea i have but the 2010 and 2011 seasons remind me of an era of GSU getting back on their feet....I bet they will come out swinging next year
