Son of popular musician and teacher Clyde Kerr, Sr., trumpeter and composer Clyde Kerr, Jr. has been a part of the New Orleans music scene for almost 50 years now.A renowned session musician (Jackie Wilson, The Jackson Five, The O'Jays, LaBelle, Aretha Franklin, Nancy Wilson, Tony Bennett, Allen Toussaint, Dr. John and the Neville Brothers) and longtime teacher and mentor to a veritable who's who of New Orleans musicians (Wynton and Brandford Marsalis, Harry Connick, Jr., Terence Blanchard, Nicholas Peyton, and Irvin Mayfield, to name a few).Clyde Kerr, Jr., at 66, released his first solo disc of original compositions.
