  • That director's name was Mr. Wood. I had him back when Karr was still a jr. high. Miss Faneca was before him. Believe me when I say we came a long way as far as parades and football games. But we did come through at district competitions though.

  • Im prolly the oldest person here from Karr c/o 2000 when there was a white band director that didnt allow half of what the Orleans parish bands did (i.e playing notes above scale, dancing/moving too much). The soound, from what I remember Karr to sound like, was good but Karr always sounded good. We were never known for power but it ALWAYS has a great SOUNDED and was never out of tune/key and held over notes. But I see that the KARR TEMPO hasnt sped up since my last parade in 2000, lol. You guys sound GREAT and I am glad to see that my alma mater survived and still making music. KEEP IT UP AND KEEP AT IT!
