    Yea we got F-horns midway through football season. Its a hell of a difference, but mainly we had some mello players that really started to mature and they are young.

    Ya they play on F horns now im happy for them i played on E flat horn when i was there and f horns make the band sound so much better and in tune

    Well said DaOtherPurpleOne. I too have sometimes remind myself that this is a very young program, and that it'll take time. It seems like these cats are serious about upholding the rich tradition at St. Aug. Mr. Tiller is doing an excellent job over there just like I knew he would; he was the best drum major I had while at St. Aug. Keep up the good work Big Purple, and I try to make it down to the N.O. for the Baccus, Orpheus, and Mardi Gras Day.

    Based on this clip, The Purple Knights are really coming along after all. It's good to see them lookin' and soundin' good these days. It seems like once they put on the uniforms they go to another level. Nice arrangement too. I think The Aug will be fine. It's just that so much pressure is put on these young kids to live up to a standard that they couldn't possibly do so soon considering the havoc that the city's school system has been through. The ones before them set the bar. It just will take these kids just a little longer to get there. But based on this clip, they are definitely on their way.
