FAMU was just too big that year. I think they had something like 60+ trumpets, marching 300+. That was just too much for even the best SU band to handle. And remember that the leash is on FAMU, so they really can't crank up like some would want to. I know several dudes that played for SU and they even admitted that SU could not overcome the shear size of a FAMU band.

regardless of the winner, SU was no slouch. FAMU was a monster at this game from halftime to the fifth quarter. Southern handled business but dam what can you do against a band like FAMU?

Wow!!! I hate to say this but I gotta give this one to FAMU. IMO SU played right into Famu's hands when they played "Incomplete" in response. I don't know if anybody can beat them kats Ballad-for-Ballad, besides maybe BCC--they'll win every time if you try. I hope this wasn't the whole 5th.
