Credit goes to drummer3133 from You Tube. This is a perfect example of a high school drumline. I want all my area New Orleans, Northshore (985) and Baton Rouge people to check this out. I would love all the drumlines in our area to be like this or similar to this. They (Grimsley) need to come to a battle of the bands in New Orleans or Baton Rouge for a drumline competition.

  • send dem boisz 2 TEXAS...face dem boisz..not LOUISIANA
  • Them boys had the nerve to play NCAT's own cadence in front of NCAT lol.
  • hwy im feelin this man yall pretty sweet
  • man nah u kno 225 and 504 would eat dem kids alive come on nah dont do it to dem
  • That cadence was North Carolina A&T's cadence in which they performed right in front of NCA&T at NCA&T's homecoming. I give them their props and yeah they not a bad drumline at all. I like their style. If I created a drumline, it would be just like theirs, but the bass drums would have to be louder and I would probably add xylophones. They are a showstyle drumline and band though.
  • they are good but they wouldn't win a showstyle comp down here because of the style diffrence...
but they aren't better than most of the N.O or Baton Rouge Schools...
and for petey shy they repeat just like everyone else repeats...
this performance was obviously a show that they performed out on the streets before a parade so i expected a high degree of diffulculty but honestly i saw nothing that made me say...
    Damn them people cold!!!
they are a formidible force though...
  • I am from and currently live in Louisiana, that 985 Northshore (North of New Orleans) to be exact and I posted this video to let you all know that this is my favorite High School drumline as of now because of their overall style. I had wanted folks from my area and nearby 504 and 225 to check it out also, I would love to see Grimsley come down and compete in a drumline competition with our Southeast Louisiana drumlines.
  • Honestly their snareline plays with a much higher level of difficulty that any drumsection in 225 or 504, if you're a true percussionist you'll see that their snare's play phrases and not just repetitive parts.
  • Snare line dope, tenor line dope. On another note for the person who posted this, in most of New Orleans public schools you will never see quads or quints.
  • LOL...u say so...lli was gonna give yall some competition....
