And get off that "what's done in the past is passed" bit! We ALL know that! That's why our expectations are so high. We want the band to be better than what was known in the past. But it sounds like you (as well as A LOT of current members) don't want to acknowledge your history and learn from it.
Change is inevitible, but you still gotta know and respect your history. Otherwise you'll end up possibly warping the reputation that those before you (before us) have built for the Storm AND the S.O.S...
During our band days, the alumni would come and do the exact same thing that the alumni are doing now. Nothing has changed in that aspect...and I'm certain that it won't change after all of you graduate.
You'll see what I'm talking about when you get there...
oh n btw...wat yall did in the past doesnt always work for the future or present...band was a totally different era at that time. So, you cant compare wat you guys did to wat we do now.
EXAMPLES
1.Could have came with different drum ft. or at least a different version of it
2.New song for the "Black Fox" routine
3.A new dance routine (I see yall added a new horn dance routine, but what happened to the rest of it?)
But just as PVSax99 said.....we had to do all these things in 1wk before LDC....yall had 3wks to give the crowd something new.....not say trash the entire show.....but ADD something to it......other than a new horn dance.
I need to see something new homecoming feel me !!!!!!
2. The BOX has a nice aggressive bottom.
3. With 3 weeks off, I expect to see sum fresh ideas. Not very "college-like'.
4. What is the point in featuring a pit that u cant hear?
5. It seems as though the announcer didnt know the show in its entirety. Too much ad-libbing going on
I honestly wanna give major props, but there are no grounds for it. You guys have 3 weeks off, and obviously squandered the useful time. PV has the POTENTIAL to dominate! At least the sound is still good. Props on that!
And for the record, it shouldn't take the Storm to learn a brand new show. It SURE shouldn't take them THREE WEEKS to get it done either. It's been done before, with MUCH LESS time.
~Remembers when we had to get our ENTIRE act (halftime show, music, teaching freshmen and re-teaching upperclassmen from scratch) together for the LDC in ONE WEEK (no band camp in 2000)~
So that excuse is invalid.
