  that doesnt mean a thing just cause u a music major.........u can be a music major and still not undrstand the musicallity of another style or section.....just like ur doin now.....not tryin to put u down bruh....but i been in the music game a long time and i know what im talkin bout, and i probably could teach a lil somethin.....

  i lost all respect for Mckinley for stealing Mcd35 cadence and im not no big fan of walker drum section but they bust mckinley behind with them snare solos. shouts out to my son kendall

  walker should have won this......both were dirty but walker sounded a whole lot better.......and to boxsinfonian, yea it was borin if u look at it from a texas point of view.......but see i can listen to it and hear it both way cause im from new orleans, but i marched in the funk train.......its cool man, u just gotta have an opened mind to all otha styles and flavors.....thats what makes a true musician......and as far as the solo thing goes.....at tsu we always had a solo in all our battles.....and what do u know, im the one who usually runs them if not josh and we get house every time......so its just how u play ur cards in the battle..........so try and understand other styles before u comment cause a TRUE musician know whats goin on...........

  Im with PsiNupe on this one....im from Texas and we chop.....but it was long and boring....no dynamic contrast....just all loud and repetitive especially from the bass and tenor part which u can not hear.....oh and solos snare drum parts are not tight when you at a drumline battle...maybe across the field at a game..but not up that close......its a drumline....not a solo....but good job from both...just my opinion

  This was an ok battle. I dont like a lot of stick twirling but thats their style. Im from the mid-south we really chop. I guess percussion is just more serious where im from.
