PV did sound better since '04, last time they even sounded like something.
The arrangements are not on point. (what college bands plays watered-down versions of SU classic arrangements...eg Dance No Mo, Hate Me Now, etc)
TxSU didn't come out with that "Destroy You" mentality like they have had since '05. But played with some balance.
Pre-Game: TxSU
Most Improve: PV
Halftime............TxSU won (NOAASB version of "You bought the sunshine" was nice)
Best song the night.......TxSU's Sweet Freedom
Best Section: TxSU Mello's
Conclusion: PV not bad, looks alot better like I said since '04. Volume was alright, but that does not always mean good, could have articulated the songs better, especially when the songs are so easy.
TxSU, volume was not like before, but they sounded good. (they small, but they pack a punch)
I liked the last three songs TSU played in the 5th. the last song was a little rough at the beginning to me but they got it together throught the end (8:30).
"You Get Your's" was played at original tempo for those wondering. I know it sounded weird, but fast or slow I like it either way.
"ooooo blahhhhh we playd fanfaresss n yall jst stood there" blah blah blah. lol gtf. WHO CARES ABOUT SECTIONAL FANFARES REALLY?? O_o. train chords at that...woooooww. we hear those everyday comin frm a actual train so there really nothin special bout tht.
anywho..both bands had their ups n downs. PV soundin like a big whole note and TxSU needin a lil more cleanin to do. im actually a fan of both bands comin frm TSU myself. stop talkin tht nonsense.look at the vids n reflect n take the criticism..get in the bandroom monday n work on wat you kno yu need to work on "college students" -_-
