  • lol@Damien...I don't think I could play my horn with all that d@mn moving. GREAT BATTLE!!!! B-Tones from both schools was bringing it. TXSU "Super High" was rocking.
  • Which clip has the drum battle?
  • As usual, nice quality of footage.
Both bands are very bottom heavy.
In this clip TxSU has a little ibt more control over their sound.
PV definitely improved from last year...
Both bands could use a visit from the "Trumpet Fairy" Lol

  • Pv- nice sound I cn honestly say 2 me IMO y'all bringin heat dis yr....I like tht song cz I playd it ma freshman yr bt cnt really hear the mellodic part all you can hear is tbones and whole & half notes.(tbones holdin it down)

Txsu- nice sound IMO I cn hear every instrument doin there thing n have power punch lines. (Btones killin like always)

Good job both bands, cnt wait til 2mrw....both nice last note! Lol
  • Both styles of music have their pros and cons.

TxSU is very punchy and articulate...But that makes them sound choppy and disconnected. And they sound like they tire out easily playing at that level. Yall sound like yall want to go flat at times. I might not like TxSU around this time of year, but I'll give credit where it's due. Yall sound pretty good, seeing that yall haven't played a game yet. God bless.

PV is very smooth sounding...VERY smooth...and sometimes the sound comes out as muddy and over connected (hanging over in certain areas). Also, the cutoffs need to be crisper. That's just a drawback on the Storm's approach to playing (ie playing through the measure). I like the moving baritone parts...and how the section isn't overpowering the band anymore. However, I don't think I am a real fan of the trumpets holding chords out like a supporting instrument would. I guess that's my preference as an arranger. Then again, that might just be my ears playing tricks on me. I love my Storm, and will always be proud of my band. Yall sound pretty damn good too...and I expect yall to finish this season even stronger than yall start. God bless.

All noise talk aside...from this clip alone, I give both bands a tie. Where one band fell short, the other kinda took advantage and vice versa, and both seemed to play to their strengths. Looking forward to hearing things about the Elements this season.
