  • @Metri Nice...I used to play btone back in the day. I aint gon lie I kinda wish I would've stuck with it. What grade you in? The reason I ask is cause I play tuba for LLI. N Im not about to talk shet. So, We cool huh? At least after next Saturday lol.

  • @vphstubadawg2k12 Yeah, i play baritone for LASOD .
  • @Chocolate Im just noticing that lol. But still you think they would go after the band closest to their level out there.

@Behrman lol Istrouma doesnt give up that easily. Shet I dont know any band that would just lay down and watch a band they battling with walk out the place. I know if I was a director, even though it might be classified as losing composure, I would still be calling songs even after they left lol.

@Merti Thats why I said if they had around the same number of people, the same amount of experience, and arrangers that we close to or exactally on the same level as each other. This couldve gone either way. And by the way, are you in LASOD? jw

  • haha they kno they lost to walker so they faced another band lol

  • i see jue on bone blastin from right here

  • @mlmkwm I give credit where credit is due. Yes they're experienced and their numbers are larger but that means nothing if you're just blasting notes. Their sound was only louder because of their numbers! Being a band with this much experience-you expect more from them. IHS numbers are smaller but we play full and clean therefore it produces a better more characteristic sound.
  • Because Baker Band Director wasnt talking trash them folks was chilling doing their thing, pay close attention Walker started a song and Istruma played over them in the begining of this clip
  • @mlmkwm I can agree with that statement about Baker. Didn't Baker get 2nd overall lol? My question is, although they did want IHS, Why didn't Walker battle with Baker?

  • First off, I gotta give it to IHS for steppin up lol. Plus they kept it clean up until "Rolling in the Deep", which I hate the way they sped it up. Keep to one tempo the whole song expecally on somethin that can be cranked like that lol. But this meeting goes to Walker. Just the experience, the numbers, and the arrangements won it for them. If it weren't for those three things, this battle possibly could've gone either way.

I gotta say great job to both of these bands though. Louisiana was well represented throughout Atlanta this weekend. At Pebblebrook and at Six Flags.

  • LOL @ Metri Btone...I can't stand Walker ( for rival reasons), but this was no comparison. Walker's sound was far superior than IHS. You guys (IHS) basshorns are not good at all, and that "I'll Be There" was ALL WRONG!!! It was as if the arranger arranged each section's part in a different key signature. While I will not say that IHS is garbage, I will say, without bias, that they are nowhere near Walker's level. Baker would have given them a much better battle. However, it's just my opinion.
