Well, I think each arrangement is set very well for the instrumentation and feature of each band's sound. I like how Southern's is just enough to recognize the tune, but still aims to feature the powerful brass sound. Texas Southern's was really nice, which did their home-girl, Beyonce, some justice. Surprisingly, my favorite part of the arrangement was the percussion part; it's a very funky groove to me. Jackson State's interpretation was nice and clean. The tempo really allowed some nice musically lines to happen in their, especially in the melodic line of the verse. UAPB's was a very clean performance and was, in fact, groovy. I like that they used independent voicing in the beginning, and I like the piccolos being utilized in that partial of the ending. All in All...it's hard to choose, but I think I'm going to lean towards JSU or UAPB on this one.
i like JSU's version but a key part of the song isnt heard. SU's is good. Txsu has that thing goin on lol. but after the tuba break it gets better. ours (UAPB) has its own groove to it, not a copy of no others

1. SU 2. TxSU (good sound) 3. JSU (just hate how slow it is)
All are good arrangements, just depends on what your preference is....
I wonder if any of the arrangers thought about writing it down a step in F. I think some more stuff could happen their. (just a thought.)

1.) JSU 2.) UAPB 3.)Scotlandville 4.)TXSU
i think jackson really has the best arrangement of this song.
UAPB sound like they got theres from Walmart, TxSU has too much deviation, SU is most hype, and JSU has the most accurate and IMO best arrangement
