  • damn...
  • what's so unconventional about recruiting??? We recruited people from all over other band directors didnt have the hustling skills like our band director did!!!! so if you call recruiting people from other schools unconventional idk. We ant make nobody do nothing that they dont wanna do. But hey i understand your bitterness, will you and the world ever get over it????
  • Reed was trash during 2003 football season no lie. I heard them twice that football season. 2004 parade season they wasn't all that either, they wasnt sad but they wasnt too hot either....I don't know abt what either UPT4 or js619 was talkin abt referring summer of 2005, but I did hear St. Aug tha summer right b4 tha storm (I graduated from st. aug in 2005) and they was gonna be a PROBLEM for a lot of ppl. As good as we was my senior year, that 2006 band was gonna make us look like trash. That's all I have to say on that matter
  • Carver had the best toxic ever
  • I'm not a reed hater. I'm telling the truth .

Reed was the Best. but they got there in an Unconventional way ..
  • omg Book ur such a REED hater
  • .. send me a clip of reed in 2003 . thats all.
  • ur FUNNY UT4TEE !!!!!!!!!!! lol

Fortier only sounded good in the stands(sometimes,on certain songs)....John Mac only sounded good in the stands(sometimes,on certain songs) !!!!

were they BETTER than the schools i named ????? NADA
were they as GOOD as the schools i named ????? MAYBE..TO SOME PEOPLE LOL..ON SOME DAYS..

SAME ISSUE WITH MOST OF THE NOLA NOPS BANDS during football season !

Most improved for parade season but "that aint saying much cuz THEY SHOULDA BEEN BETTER FROM THE BEGINNING !!!!!!!!!

NONE OF EM EVEN ATTEMPTED DRILLING YET THEY ALL COULD BLOW !!!!!!!!!!!

    was Fortier,Mac "BLOWING"."LOUDER" than REED ??????? NOPE
was Fortier,Mac "CLEANER" than ANY OTHER NOLA BAND ???

    NOPE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mc# 35 at least was still drilling and although "people" had issues with the DIRECTORS & DIRECTION @ JFK & "35; their alums WERE NOT GONNA STAND FOR CARVER & REED BEING THE TOP 2 NOPS SCOOLS AND 2 OF THE TOP 3 BANDS N NOLA !!!!!!!!

So again,it was a MATTER OF TIME LIKE I SAID !!!!

ur talking about Carver ;HAD NOT BEEN RELEVANT SINCE MRS BUSCH & WILL HAD THEM DOING GREAT THINGS !

ur talking about Reed WHO WERE GOOD UNDER WILL & WERE DOING GREAT THINGS UNDER BONDS !
RAWLINS HAD REPLACED BONDS(he moved to a college program) AND THE NUMBERS WERE THERE WITH EXPERIENCE !!

if this video was Mardi Gras 2005,how had they "fell off" when school was just beginning when Katrina hit ??

eXPLAIN HOW REED & CARVER WERE NOT THE TOP 2 PUBLIC SCHOOL BANDS PRESEASON 2005/2006 ???

    ON ANOTHER NOTE:

neither of those 2 bands w/their 3 or 4 year "RUN AT GREATNESS" MATCHED THE RUN AT THE TOP TIER MC # 35(1970s-early 2000s) and JFK (1981-early 2000s) !!

BTW (1950s-1970s),Cohen (1960s-1970s) HAD MORE HISTORY AND STRONGER BANDS FOR MORE YEARS THAN THOSE OF WHICH U SPEAK !!!!!!!!!!!!!

FORTIER was GREAT from the late 1970s-1980s and as i posted many times,BRIMMER brought his own style and a different attitude UPT(1970s) when BTW,COHEN,WOODSON(under Harris) were the bEST UPTOWN !!!

Come correct or dont come at all "LIL DUDE" !!!!!!!!!!!lol
DONT LECTURE ON NOLA BANDS ESP "GOOD" & "GREAT" NOLA BANDS !!!
did u eva see the BEST of NOLA ????

    .

the TOP BANDS WERE :: ST AUG,CARVER & REED @ THE END OF the 2005 SCHOOL YEAR !!
    the TOP BANDS FOR CARNIVAL/MARDI GRAS 2005 were : ST AUG,CARVER & REED !!

2005/2006 was gonna be a better year for ALL THE NOLA BANDS !!
    i dont d&*k ride lil dude !!!!
    !
although "opinions" dont make any of us "smarter" than each other, knowledge does separate those that know from those that only think they know !!

    i have seen,been apart of,heard MORE GOOD,Middle/junior hs/High School/College bands than u will ever witness n ur lifetime ;EVEN IF U LIVED TWICE !!

Not a single NOLA band, even my beloved St Aug, n the late 1990s & 2000s COULD EVEN TAKE THE FIELD or PARADE ROUTE WITH THE BEST OF THE 1960s-1980s !!

if ur idea of a good John Mac or Fortier band was 2004 or 2005,,u HAVE ISSUES !!

my people were n those GOOD 1970s-- EARLY/MIDDLE 1980s John Mac Bands..to say '04.'05 Mac was good is AN INSULT !!

my people were apart of those late 1970s Fortier bands when Brimmer first was hired..again to say '04,'05 Fortier was good is AN INSULT !!

    JFK,#35,Reed,Fortier,Mac ALL HAD LIMITATIONS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ur choice is fine with me.

BUT THERE WAS NO WAY N HELL THAT FORTIER & MAC were clearly BETTER THAN JFK,Mc '35 & Reed n 2004/2005 football/parade/botb season/school year !!!

    b cool b safe

    lil dude
  • this "MONSTA" was ruined by Katrina..............this was Mardi Gras 2005...........the 2005/2006 school year was shaping up as a banner year for NOLA bands.....

St Aug was marching the biggest band n school history and had just "DEALT WITH" LLI,Willowridge,Smiley and SouthWestDekalb n 2004 & 2005...The Marching 100 had a trip planned for Atlanta to visit SWD and the rest n the Spring 2006.

Reed had alot of these kids returning and were primed to take on out-of-town bands to spread their rep..

Carver was battling for the top spot n NOLA and were hyped after making their trip to Georgia..

JFK and McDonogh # 35 were in contention and had a return to top dog status in place..

Fortier ,Easton,Abramson and Easton as well as OP Walker,Douglass,Cohen,Landry were hyped after their showings at the Lakefront Arena BOTB..

alot of the directors were being forced to step their games up especially after the battles Reed & Carver had !!

that chick Katrina changed NOLA forever.
  • If i was to get my hands on this arrangement....
