@Javonte Miles, Can you please give me an example of a good band. i'm asking because all of your comments (although your opinion) seems like a band like shaw is not a good band. the comment you made about you figuring shaw's sound out is umm ( i really dont have a word to describe it). is your professional opinion comming from the video or have you stood in front of shaw to actually hear them. I have stood in front of them and i hear cords all the time as a matter of fact very unique cord progressions to not have woodwinds in their ensemble. and last thing Mr. Miles if shaw band is so not this and that! I heard they will be in the ATL for the band brawl April 28,2013. I know the band director pretty well, step to them with your best group in person and respond!!!! they travel to let people know that despite the MYTH that great bands are only from the south. they in fact represent the midwest and north pretty well. FYI they also host the largest battle of the bands in the Midwest/north it is always the 3rd weekend in september even if you cant make it this year maybe you can witness next year. I'm out! just keeping it real my brother.
The sound in this clip isn't that hot though.
they look about the same size they were when they came to New Orleans. Thing is that most clips you see of Shaw they aren't playing in the stands or you can't see the whole band in frame. looks and sounds about right to me.
ohhhh! Central's Homecoming fell on our (shaw) homecoming some of our seniors didn't make the trip! Just Keeping it real for Shaw High!
