man what happened to the band! #recruitment ocean folks! quit using the size excuse or any excuse for that matter!! Focus on making the Ocean bigger and better... I crabbed in 97' and we never used size as an excuse nor an indicator as to winning or losing... we had heart and pride! and don't give me no b.s. about "kids today are different" they said the same things back in the day as well. if SU left the 5th early that's their choice... hell we left a few games early back in the day and we wanted to stay and battle too but either we had to eat by a certain time or check into our rooms etc..that didn't mean we lost a 5th... many times we asked could we not eat and stay longer and battle but that didn't happen at times! I love the Ocean but hey, guys yall have to do more recruiting and find better ways to retain the numbers. A good sounding band is a good sounding band wherever you go. size has nothing to do with a good sounding band. Blend/balance, intonation, articulation, quality of sound etc.. are indicators to real music educators as to what your band program has going on. NOT JUST VOLUME! sorry for the long post but im just dis-appointed. students have to recruit its not all on Lee! smh...
I'm a TxSu Alumni times, but I sat on SU's side. I am really floored with SU to the point that I will getting my MBA at SU online. I'm really liking April (captain) and Beatriz dancing dolls. I got a chance to talk with both of them and they are so down to earth. I will be most definitely attending SU in Jan 2014. GO JAGS!!!!
That was a student arrangement. The song is "I Can't Stand It" by Evelyn Champaign King. He wrote the hell out of that song. That sounded like a Roy Johnson arrangement.

lol I guess su didn't take them serious enough, it would've gotten ugly if su would've stayed
work.
