  • Yes in deed
  • LOL!!! point made. Yea, the trumpet section used to be ridiculously huge back then. Do you know if any footage exists of the '05-'06 edition? I know Katrina kept them from being able to perform, but I was wondering if anybody caught them in practice. I've always wanted to see that 60+ trumpet line I heard about.
  • The difference is 55 trumpet compared to 30 and have yet to find the 1st trumpet part, so one of the alumni tried to remember the part by memory. Lol
  • Yea, i can tell it's the same now. I guess it sounded a little different because they were "cranking" on the older one.  On this one, the trumpets didn't go up as high. I went there from '03 to '05, so i guess i'm just used to the "Mr. Fields" sound.
  • @LC its the same arrangement from pre-katrina. Its the Issac Gregg's arrangement.
  • @C. James: I agree. The pre-katrina arrangement was better and those trumpets need to step it up. They sound clean, but they lack power. I was at this game, but I gave them a pass since it was their 1st game. I hope they've gotten it together since this game.
  • No trumpets. Search Youtube, and see how it is supposed to sound from any St. Aug band before 2005. Again, the trumpets are getting swolled whole by the LB. That happened my Jr. year at St. Aug, and we had to bust our asses to be heard all year long. It takes work and discipline but it can be done.
